Dave joined the club 1984 having returned to the West Country from Scotland.

In his years as a member he served on committee in a number of roles. The most recent undertaking was that of Men's Handicap Secretary a job relinquished on becoming Vice Captain.

Before his retirement he spent many years working for the Inland Revenue. He was fortunate to be transferred to Scotland by the Revenue as this is where he was introduced to golf. He says this was one of his better moves.

Dave's chosen charity this year will be The Wooden Spoon Organisation.

Dave will be assisted this year by his Vice-Captain John Lochrie.
